Booking your round

There are a number of ways to book a round at the Home of Golf from the traditional Ballot for the Old Course through to our online booking system. Simply pick the course and method that's right for you.

Booking the Old Course

Getting that elusive tee-time on the Old Course is easier than you might think. There are a number of ways to apply, the most common is through the Old Course Ballot which is drawn two days in advance but you can also apply for a tee-time for the following year every September. Guaranteed advance tee-times are also available through the Old Course Experience. Click on the links for more information.

Booking the other 6 Courses

The remaining six courses can be booked in advance apart from the 9-hole Balgove Course. If you want to play the Balgove just turn up - it couldnt be simpler.

Unlimited Golf

The 3 Day and 7 Day tickets offer fantastic value with unlimited golf per day on all six St Andrews Links courses excluding the Old Course. Available from the clubhouses or Starter on the first day of play, the 3 Day ticket can be used within seven days and the 7 Day Ticket can be used within fourteen days.

Single Golfers

Single golfers with suitable handicaps can play the Old Course by approaching the Starter early in the morning of the day they wish to play. The Starter will try to join the golfer up with the first available two or three-ball. There are a small number of Advanced Reservations for the Old Course between April and July, for single golfers which may be applied for in September for the following year. The two course policy applies to these bookings and the second course is the Jubilee. Tee times for the other six courses cannot be reserved in advance so single golfers should approach the Starter on the day.
